Abstract:
Abstract: China is a developing country. For a long time, with the development of economy, the demand for mineral resources is increasing. Because of the exploitation of coal resources in China, many industrial and mining wastes are generated, such as weathered coal, coal slime and fly ash, etc. The accumulation of a large number of industrial and mining waste not only wastes land resources and pollutes the environment, but also utilization very little. But not only that, coal mining has led to the destruction of the soil structure in the area. Compared to long-term cultivation of the soil, the soil in coal mining area has some problems, such as poor structure, low fertility, poor degree of maturation, low quantity of microorganism and low soil quality. Therefore, efficient utilization of industrial and mining waste, make it to achieve agricultural resource utilization is the most important. And using the compound fertilizer developed from industrial and mining waste to restore the quality of reclaimed soil has become the current development direction.【Objective】The current study aimed to elucidate the effects of two kinds of coal-derived compound fertilizers with different fertilizing amounts on soil organic carbon and carbon pool management index in reclaimed area. The results can be of scientific value in revealing the effect and mechanism of different coal-derived compound fertilizers on organic carbon pool of reclaimed soil. 【Method】Field experiment was performed in a coal-mining subsidence area that has been under reclamation for four years in Xiangyuan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province.. Coal-derived compound fertilizer I and II with 4 different nitrogen fertilization levels (90 kg/hm2, 135 kg/hm2, 180 kg/hm2 and 225 kg/hm2) were set to study their effects on amounts of different organic carbon forms and carbon pool management index. 【Result】With the increase of fertilizing amounts of coal-derived compound fertilizer I and II, the contents of total organic carbon and active organic carbon in reclaimed soil were significantly increased.. For the active organic carbon, content of medium active fraction were higher than high active fraction. The promoting effect of coal-derived compound fertilizer II was significantly higher(P<0.05) than coal-derived compound fertilizer I. Compared with the no fertilizer treatment, coal-derived compound fertilizer II treatment showed higher contents of soil total organic carbon, water-soluble organic carbon, microbial biomass carbon and total active organic carbon with increments of 13.94%~40.84%, 76.44%~266.12%, 77.98%~185.37% and 31.45%~97.53% respectively, while compared with the ordinary compound fertilizer treatment, the increment was 2.1%~22.96%, 73.27%~101.22%, 17.54%~88.46% and 30.65%~45.19% respectively. Moreover, coal-derived compound fertilizer II with a fertilizing amount of 135kg/hm2 treatment was most beneficial to the improvement of soil carbon pool management index, which respectively increased by 306.12% and 125.31% compared with no fertilizer treatment and ordinary compound fertilizer treatment. 【Conclusion】The best fertilizing practice for the improvement of soil organic carbon and carbon pool management index in reclaimed soil was application of coal-derived compound fertilizer II with a nitrogen fertilization level of 135kg/hm2.
