Experimental Study on Head Loss of Vertical and Horizontal Self-cleaning mesh filter

Abstract:
【Objective】The head loss of self-cleaning mesh filter determines the working efficiency and energy-saving effect of the mesh filter in the filtration process. This experiment mainly explored the variation law of head loss of vertical and horizontal self-cleaning mesh filter.【Method】Through the indoor prototype test, this paper focused on the experimental research on the relationship between head loss, inflow and sediment concentration of two self-cleaning mesh filter.【Result】The results show that the inlet flow is an important factor affecting the head loss of the two filters and the head loss increases with the increase of inlet flow. At the same time, according to local head loss formula and continuity equation, the mathematical expression model between head loss and inflow is established. The experimental results are verified by fitting. The results show that the error between the calculated results and the experimental results is less than 10% and the fitting degree of the formula can reach more than 90%.【Conclusion】The formula can guide the theoretical calculation of the head loss of the self-cleaning Wire mesh filter and also serve as the theoretical basis for determining the optimal preset pressure difference of sewage discharge to ensure the operation of the self-cleaning Wire mesh filter the optimal conditions.
