Effect of Sediment Concentration and System Working Pressure on Water Seepage Permeability of Microporous Subsurface Infiltration Irrigation Pipe

Abstract:
【Objective】Clarify the influence of irrigation water quality and pressure on the water seepage performance of microporous subsurface infiltration irrigation pipe to provide basis for its field application.【Method】In this study, a microporous subsurface infiltration irrigation pipe was tested with tap water and muddy water in the pressure range of 0~100 kPa, and the influence of pressure and sediment concentration on the water seepage performance of microporous subsurface infiltration irrigation pipe was analyzed.【Result】(1) With the increase of sediment concentration in irrigation water, the water seepage rate will continue to decrease with the extension of water flowing time.(2)The flow regime index of the pipeline is greater than 1, the correlation coefficient is greater than 0.98, the seepage rate is sensitive to pressure changes, and with the increase of the sediment concentration of irrigation water, the sensitivity of the seepage rate of the pipeline to pressure increases.(3) The lower pressure, the higher requirements for the quality of irrigation water. However, under high pressure conditions, the adverse effects of sediment in the irrigation water on the seepage performance of the pipeline can be moderately reduced.【Conclusion】Irrigation water sediment concentration is the main factor affecting the seepage performance of pipes. When the irrigation water source contains silt, increasing the pressure of irrigation system is an effective measure to ensure the water seepage performance of microporous subsurface infiltration irrigation pipe.
