Effects of Planting Density on Salsola Growth in Different Rainfall Types |

Abstract: |
【Objective】Planting density will affect many aspects of crops. In order to explore the effects of planting density on the evapotranspiration of Salsola’s, the growth of Salsola, and its surface soils salinity in different rainfall years, with the aim of exploring the appropriate planting conditions of Salsola. 【Method】The test used two factors and five levels of completely random tests. The test set five different rainfall year types: especially high water years, high water years, flat water years, low water years, and extremely low water years, and set five different planting density: 1 plant / barrel, 2 plants / barrel, 3 plants / barrel, 4 plants / barrel, and 5 plants / barrel. This article analyzes the effects of different planting densities on evapotranspiration, plant height and root length, and surface soil electrical conductivity in five rainfall types. 【Result】Considering the need to reduce the local evapotranspiration, when the planting density is 3 plants / barrel, it is the planting density that is more suitable for local survival. At this time, the corresponding plant heights for the five different types of rainfall are: 32.5cm、51.4cm、44.75cm、40.67cm、34cm; The corresponding root lengths are: 25.33cm、26.2cm、22.71cm、16cm、18cm; The changes in conductivity are: -443μs/cm、-758μs/cm、-1240μs/cm、-317μs/cm、+147μs/cm. 【Conclusion】Planting density is related to daily evapotranspiration, but the linear correlation is not high enough. Plant height and root length gradually decrease with increasing planting density. The increase of planting density reduce the electrical conductivity of surface soil. |
