Abstract:【Background】Magnetized water treatment technology is an environmentally friendly technology, which accords with the development concept of green agriculture in China.【Objective】To determine the effects of magnetization on lettuce photosynthetic characteristic and other physiological, biochemical characteristics and yield of different irrigation water sources【Method】This study took Italian lettuce as the test object and the design of random block group was adopted under the condition of solar greenhouse. Two factors were set: magnetization (M) and irrigation water source(T).Magnetization set two levels of unmagnetized treatment (M0) and magnetized treatment (M1).Irrigation water set fresh water (T1), recycled water (T2) and brackish water (T3), a total of six processing combination. The effects of three water sources with magnetic treatment on net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, antioxidant enzyme activity, mineral element, yield and water use efficiency of lettuce were studied by pot experiment.【Result】The effects of the three water sources with magnetic treatment was different. There was no significant difference in the net photosynthetic rate between magnetized water and unmagnetized water irrigation in the early and late growth stage of lettuce, but in the middle growth stage, the net photosynthetic rate of fresh water and reclaimed water with magnetic treatment irrigation increased significantly by 11.16% and 14.73%, respectively. Brackish water irrigation significantly inhibited the net photosynthetic rate of lettuce, but there was no significant difference in the net photosynthetic rate of fresh water and reclaimed water irrigation. The transpiration rate of lettuce treated with three kinds of magnetized water sources increased to a certain extent. The activities of SOD treated by fresh water, reclaimed water and brackish water with magnetic treatment were significantly increased by 18.08%、12.77%、14.68%, respectively. Likewise, the activities of POD were significantly increased by 20.97%、18.14%、16.99%,and the activities of CAT were significantly increased by 22.54%、23.09%、18.55%. When irrigated with magnetized fresh water and magnetized reclaimed water, the total nitrogen in lettuce leaves was significantly increased by 7.71% and 6.83%, respectively. Mass fraction of P, Ca, Mg, Na and K in lettuce leaves irrigated with different magnetized water sources were increased to different degrees. But the effects of magnetization treatment of different irrigation sources on lettuce yield were different. The yield of fresh water and reclaimed water with magnetized treatment was significantly increased by 9.42% and 10.15%, respectively, while the yield of magnetized brackish water was not significantly different from that of the control. The maximum yield and above-ground dry mass were M1T1, and the minimum was M0T3. Compared with M0T3, the yield and above-ground dry mass of M1T1 were significantly increased by 33.44% and 31.29%, respectively. The water use efficiency increased by 5.03%~11.65% with magnetization treatment of different irrigation sources.【Conclusion】Magnetized water irrigation was conducive to physiological and biochemical activities such as photosynthesis and antioxidant enzyme activity of lettuce, and improves yield and water use efficiency. The magnetization effect of fresh and reclaimed water is better than that of brackish water. |
