Spatiotemporal pattern and change characteristics of vegetation productivity in the Three River headwaters |

Abstract: |
The source region of the three rivers is fragile in ecological environment and an important ecological security barrier area in China. Its ecosystem function and status have a significant impact on the source region and its downstream ecological environment. Therefore, NPP based estimation and evaluation of vegetation productivity is of great significance. Based on MODIS 250m spatial resolution Normalized Vegetation Index (NDVI) data (MODIS12Q1), this paper estimates and analyzes the spatial distribution pattern, interannual fluctuation trend and stability of vegetation productivity (NPP) in the source region of the three rivers from 2000 to 2015 by using the improved CASA model. The results indicated that: 1) since 2000, the annual average NPP value of vegetation in the three river source area was 267.83 GC ? m-2yr-1, showing an increasing trend from northwest to Southeast; 2) the vegetation productivity in the three river source area was basically stable or improved, and the vegetation was generally improved; 3) from 2000 to 2015, |
