【Background】The flow rate of the inflow of the pumping station directly affects the flow pattern of the inflow of the pumping station. The turbulent flow pattern is often accompanied by the generation of vortices, which will not only reduce the performance of the pump, but even cause the pump to cavitation, vibration and unable to work.【Objective】To explore the influence of different inlet water flow rates on the flow pattern, the generation and development of vortices of the inlet water flow of the pumping station.【Method】Combined with the actual operation of the pumping station, NX UG10.0 software was used to construct the water intake physical model and the three-dimensional turbulence mathematical model of the pumping station closed intake channel, horizontal intake and open intake pool, vertical intake, adopts Reynolds N-S equation, VOF model and unsteady SST k-ω turbulence model. Numerical simulations are carried out on the influence of the distribution of the influent flow field and the generation, change and distribution of vortices at different influent velocities under the two influent modes.【Result】When the critical submerged depth of the inlet of the pumping station is met, the vortex intensity of the inlet surface under the two inlet modes gradually increases with the increase of the inlet flow rate, and the types of vortices appearing on the two inlet surfaces and the inlet water The interval of velocity change is divided; the horizontal inlet velocity of the closed inlet flow channel is 0.217~0.304, 0.349~0.448, 0.482~0.554, 0.575~0.661 m/s, the vortex types are type Ⅰ and Ⅱ vortex, type Ⅲ and Ⅳ vortex, type Ⅴ vortex, type Ⅵ vortex respectively; the open vertical inlet flow velocity is 0.322~0.402, 0.484, 0.521~0.564 m/s, the vortex types are type Ⅲ and Ⅳ, type Ⅴ, type Ⅵ respectively. Surface vortices are simultaneously generated in the water body of the open inlet pool with vertical water inlet And the vortex in the water; the numerical calculation results are basically consistent with the experimental results.【Conclusion】For the pumping station project with the closed inlet channel and the horizontal inlet method, the inflow velocity should not be greater than 0.349 m/s; for the open inlet pool For pumping station projects with vertical water intake, the influent flow rate should not be greater than 0.322 m/s. |
