Abstract:【Objective】To study the effects of different water treatments on cucumber roots in soilless culture.【Method】Using "Jinyou 35" cucumber as material. Six groups of different water treatments were set up in the soilless cultivation ditch in the sunlight greenhouse. The root images were scanned by Epson V800, a special root scanner, and analyzed by WinRHIZO root analysis software.【Result】(1)When the upper limit of substrate was 100%, T1 root morphological parameters were the largest. (2)The maximum root morphological parameters of T6 under water treatment were obtained when the upper limit of substrate was 85%.(3) water treatment T3, cucumber roots with diameter less than 2 mm and more than 8 mm accounted for 62.7% of the total roots. (4) water treatment T5, cucumber roots with diameter less than 2 mm and more than 8 mm accounted for 66.4% of the total roots. (5) The ratio of root dry weight to fresh weight of T1, T2 and T3 was 21.7%, 21.4% and 12.6%, respectively. (6)T4, T5 and T6 were 9.1%, 9.0% and 9.3%, respectively.【Conclusion】Under soilless culture, cucumber roots can be adjusted by properly controlling the upper and lower limits of water content. Under the same water limit condition, the root morphological parameters of cucumber treated with the upper limit of 100% were higher than those treated with the upper limit of 85%. With the development of facility agriculture, soilless cultivation technology has been widely used. The effect of different water treatments on cucumber roots was studied to provide a theoretical basis for the study of water requirement of soilless crops. |
