Abstract:
【Objective】In order to reveal the impactions of water and nitrogen management on soil structure, the effects of different irrigation and nitrogen levels on soil aggregate comprise and soil organic carbon were investigated with a field experiment of winter wheatclarify the importance of irrigation and nitrogen application management to soil structure stability and soil quality improvement. 【Method】The random block design was introduced to this experiment with two nitrogen treatments, i.e., N0 and N180 (nitrogen rate was 0 and 180 kg?hm-1, respectively), and two irrigation levels, i.e., full irrigation (F) and deficit irrigation (irrigation amount was 65% of full irrigation), total of 4 treatments, used radom block design. 【Result】(1) The results showed that 65%deficit irrigation of full irrigation can significantly increased the content of water-stable macroaggregates (≥0.25 mm) in soil applied with nitrogen fertilizer (N_180). Nitrogen application increased soil organic carbon content by more than 3.59% in surface layer (0~30cm), while 65% full irrigation water decreased soil carbon accumulationand deficit irrigation increased soil organic carbon by more than 2.86%. (2) Soil moisture had a direct effect on soil carbon accumulation, accounting for 83.9% of total organic carbon, while soil nitrogen had an indirect effect on soil carbon accumulation, accounting for 46.89% of total organic carbon. (3) The direct effect of water-stable aggregates on soil carbon accumulation was negative, but its indirect effect was positive. 【Conclusion】The effect of nitrogen application on soil aggregate composition was restricted by irrigation level, irrigation and its interaction with nitrogen significantly affected the content of water-stable macroaggregates, Nitrogen application and irrigation level had no significant effect on soil organic carbon accumulation, however, nitrogen application under deficient irrigation can promote soil carbon accumulation in surface layer.
