Effects of Anaerobic Sludge on Soil Nutrients and Alfalfa Yield on Sandy Soil

Abstract:
【Objective】In order to investigate the improvement effects of anaerobic sludge on water leakage and fertilizer leakage, nutrient imbalance and crop yield decline of sandy soil.【Method】Four treatments were set up in this study, including no fertilization (ACK), low anaerobic sludge application (A1), medium anaerobic sludge application (A2) and high anaerobic sludge application (A3), then verify the effects of anaerobic sludge on soil water storage capacity, soil nutrient status and alfalfa yield through field experiments.【Result】(1)compared with the group ACK, the application of anaerobic sludge has a strong improvement effect on sandy soil, and the group A3 with high anaerobic sludge application amount of 30 t/hm2 has the best improvement effect: the improvement of soil water storage reaches 32.26% (30 d), 25.3% (60 d) and 22.39% (90 d);(2)In the initial stage of anaerobic sludge application, the content of soil organic matter increases by 139.06%, the content of soil total nitrogen and available nitrogen increases by 175.34% and 168.99%, the content of soil total phosphorus and available phosphorus increases by 113.33% and 1036.84%, the content of soil total potassium and available potassium increases by 60.77% and 576.09% respectively;(3)The height and fresh weight of alfalfa increase by 135.56% (90 d) and 183.97% (90 d).【Conclusion】It indicates that anaerobic sludge can significantly improve soil water storage capacity, increase soil nutrients, promote plant growth and increase plant yield, furthermore, with the increase of anaerobic sludge application, the improvement effects become more obvious.
