| Zhangye City is located in the middle reaches of inland Heihe River in Northwest China, the shortage of water resources has become the most fundamental factor restricting the social economic development and the improvement of ecological environment in this area. In order to promote the sustainable development of agriculture in Zhangye City, the successful experiences and insufficiency of the comprehensive reform of agricultural water price were summarized. Based on the practice of water price reform in Zhangye agriculture irrigation area, this paper reviews the reform course of agricultural water price, analyzes the problems facing by water price reform and the farmers" ability to bear the change of water price. Finally puts forward specific suggestions for building a scientific and reasonable water price system and improving infrastructure. Aiming to provide empirical basis and theory for the government and policy makers in formulating agricultural water price policies. |
