Effects of Unsteady Fow Fertilization on Mixing Uniformity of Irrigation Pipes |

Abstract: |
【Objective】To explore the influence of the constant oscillating fertilizer injection flow provided by the plunger pump on the uniformity of water and fertilizer mixing in the head main pipe of the irrigation network, and to seek the safe distance of the branch main pipe.【Method】Combining laboratory test with numerical simulation to study the concentration of fertilizer solution in the pipeline under the same working condition, and the test value is compared with the numerical simulation value to analyze the accuracy of simulation. On the premise of high accuracy of numerical simulation, the method of numerical simulation is used to explore the uniformity of water and fertilizer mixing under different pipe diameters, temperatures, main pipe flow and fertilizer injection ratio.【Result】The homogeneity of water-fertilizer mixing obtained from laboratory test and numerical simulation is in consistent, and the homogeneity of water-fertilizer mixing gradually increases with the increase of the mixing distance.When other conditions are the same, the effective mixing distance increases by 0.769 m on average when the diameter of main pipe increases from 63 mm to 110 mm.As the main flow increases from 6 m3/h to 8 m3/h, the effective mixing distance under different pipe diameters increases by 1.598 m, 1.064 m and 1.132 m on average. While the ratio of fertilizer injection increases from 2% to 4%, the effective mixing distance under different pipe diameters decreases by 0.534 m, 0.824 m and 0.826 m on average. The effective mixing distance decreases by an average of 0.499 m and 1.681 m at different main flow rates when the temperature is increased from 10℃ to 30 ℃.【Conclusion】 The effective mixing distance required for uniform mixing of water and fertilizer increases with the increase of pipe diameter and main flow, but decreases with the increase of temperature and fertilizer injection ratio. Pipe diameter and main flow are the main factors affecting effective mixing distance. The opening position of branch pipe of irrigation main pipe with 63 mm, 90 mm, 110 mm pipe diameter should be 5~5.5 m away from the fertilizer injection pipe. |
