Temporal and spatial evolution of agricultural water footprint and its influencing factors in Henan Province |

Abstract: |
[Objective] In order to analyze the utilization of water footprint of main crops in Henan Province and the influencing factors for the difference of water footprint of crops in Henan Province, [Method] The water footprint theory and method were used to analyze the spatial-temporal evolution and characteristics of the water footprint of major crops in Henan Province during 2012-2021, and the influencing factors of the spatial change of the water footprint of major crops in Henan Province were studied by path analysis method. [Results] The results showed that: in terms of time, the order of water footprint size of major crops in Henan Province from 2012 to 2021 was wheat > corn > peanut > rice > soybean.In terms of water footprint structure, the green water footprint in Henan Province was mainly dominated by wheat, soybean and corn, which had the largest blue water footprint, the smallest green water footprint.In terms of spatial distribution, blue water footprint was high in the east and low in the west, while green water footprint gradually increased from north to south and east to west. The total water footprint was a phenomenon of "high around and low in the middle".In addition, average precipitation was the most important factor affecting the water footprint of Henan Province. [Conclusion] The utilization efficiency of agricultural water resources in Henan Province can be improved by adjusting crop planting layout and vigorously developing water-saving crops. |
