Abstract: |
【Objective】The purpose of this study is to investigate the trend of vegetation change in the source region in the Yellow River (SRYR) and its influencing factors between 2000 and 2018. 【Method】Based on MOD15A2, land use, meteorological data from nine meteorological stations in Tongde, Maduo, Zeku, Dari, Ruoergai, Henan, Maqin, Jiuzhi and Hongyuan, the spatial-temporal trend of the Leaf area index (LAI) in SRYR and the influences of climate change and ecological restoration project on it were analyzed. 【Result】LAI had an increasing trend for the SRYR between 2000 and 2018, and the absolute and relative changing rates were 0.09/10 a and 0.4%, respectively. The bared land had a good improvement while local grassland, forest and swamp still had degradation trend. LAI had significantly positive correlation with annual mean temperature. Moreover, the long-term warming of the climate will bring more complex challenges to the vegetation restoration in future. In the natural preservation zone which conducted effective ecological protection measures, vegetation had significant improvement trend. 【Conclusion】The warming and wetting tendency of climate and vegetation restoration project might be the main reasons of vegetation improvement in SRYR. |
