Effects of Different NitrogenApplication Rates on Yield, Nitrogen Uptake and Utilization of Summer Maize under Automatic Pipe Channel-Control Irrigation

Abstract:
【Objective】To find out the best nitrogen application quantity of summer maize irrigated by automatic pipe channel-control irrigation.【Methods】 In this experiment, two irrigation modes are set: border irrigation (B) and automatic pipe channel-control irrigation(W). Conventional nitrogen application by farmers was arranged for border irrigation(300kg·hm-2,N1). The following nitrogen application level is set for automatic water control irrigation of pipe canal(Farmers traditionally applied nitrogen(300kg·hm-2,N1), Reduce nitrogen application by 25%(225kg·hm-2,N2), Reduce nitrogen application by 50%(150kg·hm-2,N3)and No nitrogen fertilizer(N0)).【Result】When the nitrogen application was 300kg·hm-2, the grain yield and dry matter accumulation in the mature stage of the W irrigation model were increased by 5.46% and 3.23%, respectively, compared with that of the B irrigation model. Under W irrigation, N1, N2 and N3 nitrogen levels could increase the proportion of dry matter distribution in the mature stage. The total nitrogen accumulation and nitrogen use efficiencywere increased by 7.66% and 26.69%, respectively. Under W irrigation, there was no significant difference in grain yield, nitrogen accumulation in grain and plant between the treatment with reduce nitrogen application by 25% and the conventional nitrogen treatment for border irrigation, and the nitrogen use efficiency was significantly increased by 25.54%,. The? nitrogen partial factor productivity of treatment with reducing nitrogen application by 50% was significantly higher than that of other treatments.【Conclusion】The application of nitrogen fertilizer can be reduced under the condition of automatic pipe channel-control irrigation
