Abstract: |
【Background】Taking water from 2 or 3 outlets at the same time is common, when the final stage of the low-pressure irrigation pipeline system controls a large area. 【Objective】In this case, the head flow of the pipeline cannot be measured to each household. 【Method】A simulation experiment was conducted to investigate the flow distribution in the pipeline with multi-outlets. 【Result】The first outlet flow was affected by the distances (or integrated length) between the following outlets. The larger the distances between the following outlets, the greater flow resistance left behind and the greater the first outlet flow. The flow distribution could be calculated directly using the equation obtained from this experiment in the case of two outlets, and the error was less than 1%. When there were three-outlets, distances between outlets were integrated into one length to characterize the resistance of the backward water flow, and the distribution function of first outlet flow was obtained. The error was less than 5% with regression analysis, and the prediction accuracy was lower than that for two-outlet flow calculations. 【Conclusion】Partitioning multi-outlets flow should start from the first outlet. This study provides an ideal technical support for informatization of multi-outlet outflow irrigation measurements with only monitoring the head flow in the pipeline |
