Experimental study on the external characteristics of the ultra-low-lift and large-flow shaft tubular pump

Abstract:
【Objective】To test the hydraulic performance of the shaft tubular pump device in the ultra-low-head and large-flow pumping station, and to understand the actual operation of the pumping station.【Method】Taking Shenjiang Pumping Station as an example, using the method of model test, the external characteristics of the shaft tubular pump device of Shenjiang Pumping Station are studied, and the data is analyzed to propose an improvement plan.【Result】The highest efficiency of the pump device appears when the blade angle is 0°, which can reach 77.57%. At this time, the pump device has a flow rate of 220.5l/s and a head of 1.95m. Within the range of the test head, the Shenjiang Pumping Station has sufficient cavitation margin and will not cause cavitation damage. When the blade angle is 0° and the maximum head is 2.93m, the runaway speed is equivalent to 1.80 times the rated speed. Under the original design head working condition, the flow of the pump device is too small, and the runaway speed under the maximum head working condition is too large, which is not good for the safe operation of the pumping station. An optimization scheme for increasing the rated speed of the pump device is proposed, and it is verified that the energy characteristics, cavitation characteristics and runaway speed characteristics of the pump device design head corresponding to the new speed meet the requirements. 【Conclusion】The shaft tubular pump device has excellent hydraulic performance and high device efficiency. It has a good prospect in the ultra-low head pump station, and it is recommended to be used first.
