Abstract:
The construction of water-saving society is the most fundamental strategic measure to solve the shortage of water resources in Xinjiang. In order to scientifically guide the construction of water-saving society and steadily promote water-saving work in Xinjiang, this paper selected 13 water-saving indexes including industrial water-saving indexes, agricultural water-saving indexes and urban domestic water-saving indexes, and constructed a comprehensive evaluation model for water-saving society construction of Xinjiang based on analytic hierarchy process method, and made a comprehensive analysis on the construction process of Xinjiang. The results showed that the largest weight was obtained in agricultural water-saving indexes, followed by industrial water-saving indexes, and the lowest weight in urban water-saving indexes. In the construction of water-saving society in Xinjiang, although the remarkable achievements were made in industrial water-saving, agricultural water-saving and urban domestic water-saving, there was still great potential in agricultural water-saving. The comprehensive evaluation results showed that the construction level of water-saving society in Xinjiang was steadily improving, with the continuous promotion of water-saving work.
