Removal of Cd in water of two mining areas by irrigation water purification system and Cd Reduction on Rice

Abstract:
【Objective】In order to reduce the Cd content in irrigation water and rice Cd content【Method】a system of "plant pond + adsorption pond" was set up for the main body was constructed to explore for the purification effect of irrigation water with Cd exceeding the standard and the Cd control effect of rice in two typical mining areas (industrial and coal pollution) in Hunan province.【Result】The results showed that during the monitoring period, the total Cd average inflow of ST pilot (industrial and mining pollution) was 6.86 μg.L-1, the total Cd average outflow was 0.81 μg.L-1, and the average removal rate was 88.13%.The average concentration of total inflow Cd in DX pilot (coal mine pollution) was 4.56 μg.L-1, and the average concentration of total outflow Cd was 1.33 μg.L-1.The average removal rate was 70.76%.After wetland system treatment, Cd content in brown rice in ST irrigated water purification area is 37% lower than that in unpurified rice, and Cd content in brown rice in DX irrigated water purification area is 58% lower than that in unpurified rice.【Conclusion】The results can provide scientific reference and data support for purification of Cd Polluted Irrigation Water and safe production of paddy field in two typical mining areas.
