Abstract:
【Objective】Fish-scale pit engineering is a slope afforestation and land preparation project, which in order to improve soil water storage capacity in arid and semi-arid areas. This project have important influences on the spatial heterogeneity of soil moisture.【Method】 In this study, we chose two hillslopes to study the impact of Fish-scale pit on spatial heterogeneity of soil moisture. One has implemented the Fish-scale pit project, and the other is a natural slope. 【Result】 The results showed that: (1) Compared with the natural slope surface, the fish-scale pit engineering can effectively improve the soil water content, increase the water content, reduce the coefficient of variation, and increase the proportion of structural factors in the spatial variation in the rocky mountainous area of North China;(2) Under both rainfall and drought conditions, soil moisture on the natural slope showed a gradually decreasing zonal distribution from top to bottom of the slope, while soil moisture on the Fishscale Pit slope showed a patchy distribution with a high degree of dispersion under drought conditions.(3) Altitude and gravel content are the main factors affecting spatial heterogeneity of slope water.【Conclusion】 Fish-phosphorus pit engineering can improve soil water retention performance by changing the underlying surface microtopography, and has an important effect on soil water spatial heterogeneity.
