Numerical simulation of influence of outlet position and diameter of suction pipe on annular jet pump

Abstract:
Based on the Realizable k-ε turbulence model, the effects of outlet position and diameter of suction pipe on efficiency and flow field of annular jet pump with different flow ratios were simulated and analyzed by FLUENT. The results show that the outlet position of the suction pipe should keep a small distance from the inlet of the suction chamber when the flow ratio is 0.4-0.6. For this research model, 2mm is the optimal distance. When the flow ratio is 0.1-0.3, appropriately increasing the distance between the outlet and the inlet of the suction chamber can improve the efficiency. Suction pipe diameter: Under the condition that other parameters remain unchanged, the efficiency is positively correlated with the suction pipe diameter. With the increasing diameter, the maximum efficiency of the annular jet pump is also increasing, and the flow ratio corresponding to the maximum efficiency point is also increasing.
