Abstract:
【Objective】In order to improve the irrigation water use efficiency and rationalization of measures, the inter-annual variation of irrigation water effective utilization coefficient (IWEUC) in Jiangsu Province was analyzed. 【Method】Taking comprehensive consideration of natural factors, planting structure, management levels, and water-saving engineering, the major influencing factors of IWEUC was investigated through partial correlation analysis and principal component analysis. 【Result】Results showed that: IWEUC in Jiangsu Province was higher than that of the whole country and showed an insignificant increasing trend from 2014 to 2021. IWEUC and its trend were negatively correlated with irrigation district size. In terms of different water source types, the IWEUC of medium self-sized irrigation districts showed an increasing trend with the largest change rate. The area of water-saving engineering showed an extremely significant effect on IWEUC (P<0.01). The positive contribution of water-saving engineering and natural factors was greater than others. 【Conclusion】The establishment and improvement of water conservation system and management promoted by integrated agricultural water pricing reform played an essential role in optimizing the management of irrigation districts, strengthening the construction of water-saving engineering, and improving IWEUC.
