Influence of Aspect Ratio of Side Ventilation Window on Uniformity of Flow Field in Multi-span Greenhouse

Abstract:
【Objective】The effect of the aspect ratio of the side ventilation window on the uniformity of the flow field in the multi-span greenhouse was investigated to provide a theoretical basis for the design and construction of the greenhouse.【Method】 This study took the multi-span butterfly window greenhouse in Guangzhou as the research object, and used the method of combining numerical simulation and experiment to study the distribution law of the flow field in the multi-span greenhouse under different window aspect ratios. The aspect ratio of the windows of the experimental greenhouse is 1, the size of the windows is 1.2m × 1.2m, and the height of the bottom of the ventilation windows is 2m. In this study, four different windowing aspect ratio schemes were designed and compared with the experimental greenhouse (ie, the windowing scheme C).【Result】The relative error range between the measured value and the simulated value of the temperature at each measuring point is 0.09%~5.31%, the average error is 2.48%, and the root mean square error is 1.10, which verifies the validity of the model; Different aspect ratios of window openings have no significant effect on the average indoor temperature of the multi-span greenhouse, but there are significant differences in the temperature unevenness coefficient. The overall temperature unevenness coefficient of window opening scheme A is reduced by 41% compared with window opening scheme C; Among the five window opening schemes, the overall average wind speed and wind speed non-uniformity coefficient of window opening scheme A are better than other window opening methods. Compared with window opening scheme C, the average wind speed is increased by 23%, and the wind speed non-uniformity coefficient is reduced by 41%. 【Conclusion】From the perspective of the flow field distribution in the greenhouse, appropriately reducing the aspect ratio of the side ventilation windows can effectively reduce the unevenness of temperature and wind speed.
