Effects of carbon source on purification of aquaculture wastewater by earthworm constructed wetland

Abstract:
【 Objective 】To provide theoretical basis for water purification by using agricultural straw optimization constructed wetland. 【 Methods 】Eight groups of constructed wetlands were set up by experiment, and the substrates were KW (fine sand), JW (fine sand + corn straw meal), PW (fine sand + industrial glucose), SW (fine sand + corn straw biochar), KQ (fine sand + Corn straw meal + eisenia fetida), JQ (fine sand + corn straw meal + eisenia fetida). PQ (sand + industrial glucose + eisenia fetida), SQ (sand + corn straw biochar + eisenia fetida), in the concentration of water, hydraulic conditions and reed growth density and the same case, determination of groups of artificial wetland water quality, discusses the combination of different carbon sources and earthworm to artificial wetland purification water effect. 【 Result 】The removal rate of COD was improved by adding carbon source and Ectophysticus. Adding eisenia fetida could improve the purification effect of total phosphorus in constructed wetland. According to the removal rate of total phosphorus from the effluent of the 8 groups of constructed wetlands, the combined effect of industrial glucose as carbon source and Aetiworm was the best, and the removal rate was up to 94.0%. The removal rate of total nitrogen was increased by 6.3% and 5.1% when the addition of Ectophysaccharide and industrial glucose, or ectophysaccharide and corn stalk meal, respectively. The removal rate of Copper (Cu) in the treatment group with corn stalk meal was the highest, and the content of Copper in the treated water could not be detected. 【 Conclusion 】 Adding eisenia fetida in constructed wetland can enhance the purification effect of COD, total phosphorus, heavy metals copper and Zinc (Zn) in aquaculture wastewater. The addition of corn stalk biochar as carbon source significantly increased the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen in constructed wetland. The COD removal efficiency of constructed wetland was improved by adding different carbon sources and Eichenium. The removal rates of COD, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen as well as heavy metals copper and zinc in constructed wetland were significantly increased by adding corn stalk meal and eisenia fetida. When corn stalk meal was added in constructed wetland, The copper absorption effect of eisenia fetida was the best.
