|Research advances of the impact of changing environment on agricultural water resources utilization in irrigation areas

|The uncertainty of agricultural water use will be increased, which will greatly increase the difficulty and risk of water resources system regulation, under the condition of climate change and fast development of economy and society. Under the condition that both the supply and demand, the agricultural water are faced with great challenges, it is difficult for the traditional allocation and regulation of water resources to fully reflect the influence of multiple supply-demand relationships in the water resources system and to realize the efficient utilization of water resources. The Hydrological cycle process of farmland ecosystem is undergoing profound changes. Particularly the climate change and human activities accelerate the evolution of the farmland hydrological elements such as the precipitation, evapotranspiration, runoff, seepage and water consumption, thus, the change of water supply and water demand of crop irrigation is caused. Based on the analysis of the farmland irrigation water development and characteristics in china, the report systematically analyzes the research progress of global environment changes’ influences on agriculture water supply, water demand, balance of water supply and demand and water recycling of irrigation district and also analyzes the deficiencies of the existing research. In the end, the report puts forward the key points of future research on the effects of irrigation districts’ agriculture water response to environmental changes in China: pay more attention to studying the irrigation district water supply system and operation patterns, studying the crop water requirement, consolidate the study of the water balance between supply and demand and the basic theory and evaluation method of the water resources bearing capacity in the irrigation areas under the condition of the environment changes, strengthen the study of the water cycle and transformation mechanism in irrigation districts , and also attach great importance to the mechanism research of the impact of regional scale water saving irrigation technologies to the environment.
