Abstract: |
【Objective】In order to investigate the effect of different irrigation quotas on the yield, quality and safety of pepper under drip irrigation with reclaimed water and comprehensive evaluation.【Method】In 2020, a field trial of pepper was carried out at the reclaimed water irrigation demonstration base under the jurisdiction of Ningxia ShuiTou Zhongwei Water Co Ltd in Zhongwei City, with three irrigation water quality levels of S1 (tap water), S2 (domestic reclaimed water: tap water = 1:1) and S3 (domestic reclaimed water), and three irrigation quota levels of W1 (2,040 m3/hm2), W2 (2,820 m3/hm2) and W3 (3,600 m3 /hm2) and W3 (3 600 m3/hm2), a total of nine treatments, a two-factor, three-level randomised group trial was conducted to investigate the effects of different irrigation water quality and irrigation quota on the growth and physiology of pepper, yield, quality and safety, and a comprehensive evaluation was carried out using the principal component analysis method.【Result】Under the same condition of irrigation quota, the order of pepper plant height, stem thickness, net photosynthetic rate, yield, WUE, IWUE, vitamin C, soluble sugar, capsaicin, nitrate, As, total colony count, coliforms and E.coil were S3 > S2 > S1, and the order of soluble protein content was S3 > S1 > S2 for different irrigation water qualities; and under reclaimed water irrigation, with the increase of irrigation quota, the pepper plant height, stem thickness, net photosynthetic rate, yield, As, colony total, coliform and E.coil increased, WUE, vitamin C, soluble protein and capsaicin content firstly increased and then decreased, and IWUE, soluble sugar and nitrate gradually decreased. Pb, Cr and Salmonella were not detected in all treatments, and the As content met the standard requirements. Reclaimed water irrigation did not significantly cause the accumulation of As and E.coil in pepper fruits, but significantly increased the colony count. The results of principal component analysis (PCA) based on 15 evaluation indexes of pepper growth and physiology, yield, quality, water use efficiency, heavy metals and pathogenic bacteria showed that the S3W2 treatment (reclaimed water irrigation with an irrigation quota of 2,820 m3/hm2) had the highest comprehensive score and was the optimal treatment.【Conclusion】When the rainfall during the reproductive period was 174.30 mm, pepper grew well, had high yields and good quality when drip irrigation with reclaimed water was used in a single season with an irrigation quota of 2,820 m3/hm2. This provides a theoretical basis for the efficient use of reclaimed water for farmland irrigation in Ningxia. |
